Change.
Is in the livelihood we sustain ourselves with.
change is the one that we are afraid of, yet
the one we have to get along with most of the time.
without change, life is at best mandatory, wildly
imperative of its stagnancy.
i thought i would never embrace change,
but when it gives you hope in the form of
an outstretched hand with a slight nudge on the back,
albeit apprehensively, i want to welcome it.
this coming months, i will leave whatever is left
of my career as a nurse, behind.
i'm going to be a full-time student again,
learning something totally far from what i've been
doing and i am glad for that.
